Enterprises prepared for commodities on Tet

By the time, enterprises, supermarkets and commercial centers in the province have been planned for commodity storing for the upcoming Tet Holiday 2016 – Year of the monkey. The storing is expect to grow by 20% higher than previous Tet to widely supply for and satisfy consumer needs.

Commodity resources prepared

The program of taking Vietnamese commodities to rural areas has recently been among the various programs of supplying commodities to local people, especially those in rural area of the province. On 3 days of September 29-30 and October 1, Department of Industry and Trade coordinated with Bau Bang District People’s Committee to organize a program of taking Vietnamese commodities to rural areas. The event eyed participation of 20 prestigious supermarkets and enterprises which have delivered various commodities to the public and factory workers regarding electric appliances, textile, shoes, household commodities cosmetics and foods.

Vo Huu Thach, the Director of Binh Duong CoopMart in Thu Dau Mot City informed that the supermarket under his management has engaged not only in market fairs but also in programs of market price stabilization, particularly on Tet holidays through years. Plans have been rationally prepared to internally service CoopMart system. Currently, deposit and purchase orders have been fixed for months to supply rich and diversified commodities to consumers, assuring inputting prices and stable output for better price stabilization during Tet Holiday 2016.

An unnamed representative of Big C Binh Duong in Thu Dau Mot City informed that Big C system of 26 retailers nationwide has initiated price stabilization program and prepared for the upcoming Tet Holiday in line with decision of Binh Duong Provincial authority. Concurrently, Big C also offered purchase orders by quarters, peak months, cooperation and marketing plans, assuring commodity resources for Tet Holiday 2016.

Buying power to increase by 25%

As the year end is drawing near, buying power in the market is increasing. Recently, Department of Industry and Trade had a meeting with 12 enterprises, supermarkets, and commercial centers in the province to discuss the preparation of commodities and sales of price stabilizing commodities for Tet Holiday 2016. Accordingly, enterprises in the program have basically agreed upon the implementation and the storing limits in the province to service the sales. The commodities will be mainly necessities of foods, confectioneries, beverage, and wines.

According to an unnamed representative of Department of Industry and Trade, majority of enterprises have planned to store up commodities for additionally 20% higher than previous year. It is expected that the selling out during Tet to supermarkets and drives of commodities to rural areas will fully satisfy the consuming needs of local people during Tet Holiday without making up the commodity scarcity and fake price hiking.

It is expected that buying power of the upcoming Tet Holiday will be higher than previous year of about 25%. Department of Industry and Trade had met to agree with departments and sectors across districts, towns, and Thu Mot City to coordinate the price stabilization and commodity sales for Tet Holiday by detail and thorough plans to service buying needs.
