Final round of “Smart City Ideas Competition: Binh Duong 2018” kicked off

Early October 10, provincial People’s Committee in collaboration with the World Technopolis Association (WTA) and South Korea’s Daejeon city kicked off the final round of “Smart City Ideas Competition: Binh Duong 2018” at Eastern International University, with the participation of 14 teams. Attending the event were Kang Byung Joo, Secretary General of the WTA; Mai Hung Dung, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee, Head of the Organizing Board of the WTA summit 2018 together with some sponsors.

The competition aims to look for original, innovative, and feasible ideas for Binh Duong smart city building while being a chance for students of Vietnam and South Korea to exchange and develop their talent for the development of the community. Candidates are welcome to present their ideas regarding all aspects of smart city but priority is given to the fields of smart urban management, healthcare, culture and travel, smart education, e-government, energy and environment, urban agriculture, and smart production

Speaking at the event, Mr.Dung hoped that the final round will be the fierce competition of participating teams with original ideas and useful solutions, creating changes for the common benefit of the community. He also wanted that the next competition will welcome teams from other cities in the WTA community so that young generations of the community have a chance to study and share mutual experience under the spirit of the WTA
