The Tet (Lunar New Year) festival 2024 is approaching. These days, the working atmosphere at traditional food production establishments in the province is even more vibrant. To serve people’s demand for shopping on Tet - the biggest consumption occasion of the year, many establishments have sped up production in association with investment in improving quality and keeping selling prices stable.
Increasing capacity
At this time, the output of food production facilities at traditional craft villages has begun to skyrocket compared to the previous period. Co Giao Phuong fresh sausage production facility in Long Nguyen commune’s Ben San hamlet in Bau Bang district is busy with the peak production season, operating at full capacity.

Bui Thi Doan Phuong, owner of the facility said: "On average, the facility has 6 workers, producing about 200kg of sausage every day. However, from now until Tet, the facility must increase capacity every day, producing 400 kg- 500kg of sausage to serve the market. As of now, the price of input materials has increased slightly, but the price of sausage at the facility remains unchangable at VND 220,000 - 240,000 VND per kg so that consumers can shop with peace of mind. The facility also has pork sausage products, dried chicken and four-spice dipping sauce to serve Tet, especially sausage products that meet OCOP 3-star standards.
More than 20 traditional food products such as lean pork paste, spring rolls, green chili rolls... from Phu My A Food Production Trading Co.Ltd. in Thu Dau Mot city’s Hoa Phu Ward, have long been famous because they are made from 100% clean pork without additives. This Tet holiday, the company is mobilizing additional 5 workers to meet many orders in and out of the province. Vu Minh Duong, Director of the company said: "During Tet, the number of orders increases 2-3 times, so the company must produce at full capacity to have enough goods to supply the market. This year, the price of products at the company remains unchangable at VND160,000 - VND220,000 per kg. For orders valued at VND 250,000 or more, customers will receive a promotional gift worth 10% of the orders".
Pure coffee products of Viland Production Construction Investment Joint Stock Company in Phu My ward are also a unique drink brand of Binh Duong that is popular with consumers during the traditional Tet holiday. These days, the company is speeding up the process of packaging and making Tet gift baskets to promptly deliver them to customers. According to Luu Van Hai, Director of the company, many months ago, the company focused on purchasing raw materials and recruiting more workers to participate in Tet exhibitions and fairs in many neighboring provinces and cities. Espencially, the company is expanding many distribution channels through agents, approaching online sales methods and trying to compete with stable prices.
Paying attention to quality and design
In addition to increasing output to promptly serve the market, production facilities in Binh Duong have always paid special importance to quality and design to maintain reputation with customers and build the local business brand.
Mr. Hai realized that design and packaging are considered as the initial factors affecting consumers' ability to access products and quality is the key to determining customers’ loyalty. “We constantly improve quality and design. From raw material sources to production and packaging, everything is done according to the pure coffee production process, without using chemicals. The quantity of goods has increased. Production has not been able to keep up and the price of raw materials has increased. However, the product's identity has not been lost for the sake of profit. Only maintaining product quality helps maintain credibility with consumers and maintain the brand in the market", Mr. Hai expressed.
In the province, there are currently many products that have been trusted and chosen by consumers, appraised and recognized by authorities. Many products with strong Tet flavors such as cashew nuts, pork rolls, netted muskymelon, dried vermicelli, cordyceps wine, lingzhi mushroom wine, multiflora wine... are all issued with the certificates of food hygiene and safety, codes, barcodes, traceability stamps, collective marks, certification marks, creating their own mark on the market.
