Giving Tet gifts for the blind and poor

Early January 17, provincial Buddhist Sangha’s Executive Board and Bo De Dao Trang Pagoda in Thuan An city coordinated with provincial Red Cross Society to give Tet gifts for the blind in Thu Dau Mot and Thuan An cities, in attendance of Nguyen Thi Le Trinh, Chairwoman of provincial Red Cross Society, volunteer organizations and donors.

Accordingly, the Organization Board of the program gave 200 gifts worth VND 600,000 each, including blankets, curtains and necessities for blind people. These gifts contained the spirit of care and sharing, contributing to encouraging the local blind people to rise up in life.

*On the same day, the Red Cross Society of Phuoc Vinh town in Phu Giao district organized a program to give Tet gifts for those with difficult circumstances in the town.

Accordingly, the Red Cross Society offered 75 gifts worth VND 500,000 each, comprising of essential items, to families with difficult circumstances. The total value of these gift was estimated at VND 37.5 million, funded by Nguyen Thi Hoang Yen, residing in Phuoc Vinh town’s quarter 9.
