Green Sunday 2021: Many meaningful and practical activities

On this occasion, provincial Youth Union honored 2 examples of provincial "Good young workers" 2021. Di An city’s Youth Union awarded a “Free Gymnasium" youth work worth VND 30 million to the Youth Union of Tan Binh ward". Leaders of provincial Youth Union and Di An city’s Youth Union also visited and gave gifts worth VND600,000 each for 4 needy young workers at 2 lodging facilities in Tan Binh ward.

*Early May 30, Thu Dau Mot city’s  Youth Union Standing Committee organized  a ceremony to launch the Green Sunday campaign in response to World Environment Day (June 5), the National Week of Clean Water and Environmental Hygiene in Hiep Thanh ward.  Accordingly, the city’s Youth Union awarded 2 models of plastic waste collection with the cartoon character Doreamon to 2 units of Le Hong Phong primary school and Phu Tho ward’s Youth Union while setting up a volunteer team "For the green environment" with 10 members.

At the ceremony, the city's Youth Union members participated in a parade on key streets to propagandize about environmental protection. After that, the city’s Youth Union organized a program to exchange garbage for gifts.

The ceremony took place with such practical activities as clearing 1.5km of in-field canals to ensure irrigation and water drainage for people in Lac An commune during the rainy season…

*Early May 30, Bau Bang district’s Youth Unions at all levels launched the second Green Sunday 2021. Accordingly, the local Youth Union members planted more than 50 new trees; cleared bushes, removed illegal advertising boards on roads with a length of 5km; eradicated 5 illegal garbage collection points...
