These days, Thu Dau Mot City is preparing for celebrating War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day (July 27th) by persuade individuals, organizations to contribute to “Gratitude Fund” in order to construct compassionate houses, caring for policy beneficiary families (PBF)… TDM City’s leaders visited, gave presents to martyr’s mother Nguyen Thi Lon at Tan An commune Families of policy beneficiaries are really warmed their hearts because of visits, gifts of delegations. Mother Nguyen Thi Lon at Tan An commune shared her feelings: “Now I’m old and I just need my dutiful offspring and encouragements of young people and delegations. This is a big present that I need”. Mother Lon is 92 years old and has 2 offspring as martyrs. Local government has taken care and offered compassionate house, thus her life is now stable.On occasions of big holidays, the government has visited many PBFs. Vice Chairman of TDM City People’s Committee Mr. Nguyen Van Dong said, since the year started, the city had visited, given gifts worth about VND98 mln to 96 typical PBFs. The city was also preparing for War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day celebration with special caring of typical, difficult PBFs. First celebration plans is to intensify histories significance of this day; sacrifice of heroic martyrs; preferential policies of the CPV, State for people deserving well of the country; praise invalids martyrs’ families for overcoming difficulties; for sectors to fulfill “Paying debts of gratitude” movement…In additions, agencies are required to address timely preferential policies for beneficiaries; persuade individuals, organizations to contribute to “Gratitude Fund” to build compassionate houses; search and collect martyrs’ ashes to bury at provincial Martyrs’ cemetery…Reported by Thu Thao – Translated by Ngoc Huynh
