In 2022, Binh Duong gains a trade surplus of more than US$9 billion

On Dec 29, the Provincial Statistics Office held a press conference to announce socio-economic data for 2021.

Over the first 6 months of 2022, most of the province's socio-economic indicators had relatively high growth compared to the same period in 2021. In the last 6 months of 2022, the socio-economic situation faced many difficulties, most notably since July 2022, export value has decreased sharply. However, in the whole 2022, the province gained a trade surplus of 9.1 billion USD, per capita GRDP reached 166 million VND/year. Total state budget revenue in 2022 is estimated at 61,940 billion VND, reaching 91.4%; expenditure on development investment is 8,816 billion VND.

The province attracted 6,235 new businesses registered with a total capital of more than 40,100 billion VND and 1,681 enterprises adjusted to increase capital of 62,900 billion VND. Regarding FDI attraction, as of 15th December 2022, the province attracted US$3.1 billion in investment, up 48.8% year-on-year. In which, 27 projects were granted new investment registration certificates, equaling 52% over the same period last year.

The socio-cultural fields also achieved many good results, such as: high school graduation exam reached 99.75%, won 34 prizes in the national excellent student contest. The province injected more than 7.5 million doses of Covid-19 vaccine; taking care of policy families, people with meritorious services to the revolution, and workers' lives were enhanced, and creating new jobs for more than 38,000 employees. At the 31st Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games), the provincial athletes' delegation won 5 gold medals, 8 silver medals and 1 bronze medal...
