Update: 25-12-2024 | 13:53:15

Provincial People’s Committee has recently directed the implementation of the Prime Minister’s Directive No. 125/CĐ-TTg dated December 1, 2024 on strengthening thrift practice and wastefulness prevention. Accordingly, provincial People’s Committee required provincial departments, agencies, mass organizations, People’s Committees of districts and cities, Binh Duong Lottery Co. Ltd., Becamex IDC and Thanh Le General Trading Import-Export Corporation to enhance leadership and direction in thrift practice and wastefulness prevention. Entities under their management are tasked with consistently directing the implementation of thrift practice and wastefulness prevention goals and targets for 2024 in line with the Party’s orientations and legal provisions on thrift practice and wastefulness prevention.

The focus is on reviewing and proposing amendments to the Law on Thrift Practices and Anti-Waste Measures; revising or supplementing regulations on management mechanisms and outdated economic-technical norms that are no longer in line with the local development context. Efforts will continue reviewing and proposing amendments to related laws and legal documents to ensure consistency and uniformity within the legal system, address overlaps and conflicts, improving the efficiency of managing and utilizing State resources. Provincial Department of Planning and Investment and district-and city-level People’s Committees are tasked with regularly reviewing and promptly adjusting the 2024 public investment capital plan. This includes reallocating funds from projects that have not disbursed or are slow in disbursing to projects capable of disbursement and requiring additional funding.

Provincial Department of Finance will take the lead, coordinating with relevant units to compile and advise provincial People’s Committee on reporting the results of a comprehensive review of public assets and headquarters that are unused or inefficiently utilized to the Ministry of Finance. They will also propose handling measures under regulations to prevent waste and loss of State assets.
