According to Social Order Police of Binh Duong provincial Police, the high time of issuing citizenship ID cards is within November 1, 2020 through July 1, 2021 in 3 stages. The preparation stage is projected to be from November 1, 2020 through December 31, 2020 as the provincial police organizes basic survey to list up people eligible for citizenship ID card issuing. The preparation tasks also include machines, materials, vehicles and forms for issuing the citizenship ID cards and the designation and training of staffs to implement the tasks. From January 1, 2021 through July 1, 2021, documents for citizenship ID card issuing will be received. After July 1, 2021, local police units will by their assigned functions and tasks carry out the citizenship ID card issuing. Concurrently, fixed locations for citizenship ID card issuing at district police stations and the PC06 Division of provincial Police. The on-the-move issuing of citizenship ID cards is carried out when necessary at schools, hospitals, remote areas and for people of elderly ages, illness, and socially privileged subjects.
The citizenship ID number is unique for each citizen of Vietnam without being duplicated from one to the others. The citizenship ID card does not require the fields of surnames and other names. The ethnicity field is replaced by the nationality field. The seal of police is replace by the national emblem seal of the issuing authority. The use term if ID Card was stipulated for 15 years; however, for the citizenship ID cards, the holders must renew at their ages of 25, 40, and 60 year. Holders of more than 60 years old do not need to renew their citizenship ID cards.
