In 2014, Department of Natural Resources and Environment implemented various programs, projects, schemes, and action plans for environment protection, contributing to the sustainable development cause of the province.
Various projects on environment launched
Department of Natural Resouces and Environment (DONRE) has implemented various projects to protect the environment from 2011 to 2015 so as to meet the targets of sustainable development of the province in 2014. Particularly, provincial projects of second stage automatic wastewater and major waste source monitoring stations in industrial parks and surface and underground water surveillance system have been implemented. DONRE also completed the project of surveying and evaluating enterprises listed in blue listing of 2014 before submitting to Binh Duong Provincial People’s Committee who have offered merit certificates to 59 enterprises endorsed of environment protection in 2014. Currently, DONRE is implementing the second stage of measures to prevent environmental risks during waste treatment process.

At district level, 7 projects servicing State’s management on environment have been implemented including environment protection projects in Di An Town, daily use waste water treatment at hostels in Tan Uyen Town, environment protection measures at accommdation and catering services and control of pollution sources in Ben Cat Town
Particularly, environment surveillance has been well implemented. Up to date, all the surveillance plans have been accomplished including water bed sediments, soil, surface and underground water, and air. Another highlight of the year was the support of DONRE in treating and carrying out measures to control environment pollution. Accordingly, DONRE offered VND 8 billion of loans to 1 project and disbursed VND 514 million to other 3 projects of environment pollution remedy
