Kobelco gets involved in energy regeneration in Binh Duong

*Toin Vietnam Co.Ltd.’s factory inaugurated in My Phuoc 3 Industrial Park

Provincial People’s Committee Chairman Le Thanh Cung yesterday had a working session with leaders of Kobelco Eco-Solutions Company under Japan’s Kobelco Corporation to announce the company’s investment plan in Binh Duong.

At the working session, Mr.Hiroshi Sugimoto, Director of Kobelco Eco-Solutions Company spoke highly of Binh Duong’s rapid economic growth, especially in the field of industrial manufacture. He said that the company’s project in Binh Duong will use energy recycled from mud of wastewater treatment plants, leftover food and woodwork to create biogas for bus system, industrial manufacture, households and power production.

It is expected that the project has a total investment capital of US$20mln, 70% of which come from the Japan International Cooperation Agency’s ODA capital and the remaining 30% from the company’s corresponding capital. Along with this project, Kobelco will coordinate with Becamex IDC to build a specialized industrial park to serve Vietnam’s support industry.

Mr.Cung spoke highly of Kobelco Corporation and projects carried out by it in Vietnam and said that Kobelco Eco-Solutions Company’s project on recycling energy from waste is very feasible. He also said that the company will continue working with Becamex IDC to boost the implementation of the project.

*The same day, the Japanese-invested Toin Vietnam Co.Ltd. held a ceremony to inaugurate its packaging-paper factory in My Phuoc 3 Industrial Park. The factory was granted an investment license by provincial People’s Committee on March 19, 2013 with a total registered capital of US$12mln.
