Afternoon of September 18, at the Lucky Square Conference Centre in Binh Duong New City a ceremony was held to receive medals of the People's Democratic Republic of Laos with participation of collectives and individuals in Binh Duong Province. Attending the ceremony were Member of CPV Central Committee , Secretary Mai The Trung; Chairman of Binh Duong Provincial People’s Committee Le Thanh Cung; Mr. Sonexay Siphone, Member of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Governor of Champasak Province. Member of CPV Central Committee , Secretary Mai The Trung and Mr. Le Thanh Cung, Chairman of Binh Duong Provincial People’s Committee honorably receive medals of People’s Democratic Republic of Laos At the ceremony, by authorization of the President of the People’s Democratic Republic of Laos, the Champasak provincial representative announced decision of the President of the People’s Democratic Republic of Laos to honor 4 groups and individuals with Freedom Medal Class III of the People’s Democratic Republic of Laos including Binh Duong Provincial People's Council, People’s Committee, Mr. Mai The Trung, member of the CPV Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of Binh Duong Province and Mr. Le Thanh Cung, Chairman of Binh Duong Provincial People’s Committee. Besides, the Champasak provincial representative announced decision to award the Friendship Medal of the Government of the People's Democratic Republic of Laos to the Department of Foreign Affairs in Binh Duong Province as acknowledgement of the contributions to consolidating and developing friendly relationships and cooperation between the two provinces of Binh Duong and Champasak.Mr. Sonexay Siphone said: I highly appreciate the relationship of Vietnam and Laos as the model and rigid relationship in the world, the two countries have come together to stand in the struggle for national liberation and nation building. Specially, the success of Laos nation building has been made avaialbe by the contributions of the Party, the State and the people of Viet Nam. This is an invaluable asset that the two sides treasure to maintain and constantly bring that special relationship to a new level. From 2006 up to date, through a variety of investment co-operation and strengthen solidarity and friendship between the people and governments of the two provinces the two provinces of Binh Duong and Champasak are bound.Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Mai The Trung praised up and appreciated the honor which the People’s Democratic Republic of Laos preserved for Binh Duong Province. Mr. Mai The Trung said that 2012 was the year generally for solidarity between Vietnam and Laosto mark the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties and the 35th anniversary of signing the Treaty of friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Laos. The year also marked a significant development in the special relationship of friendship and multifaceted cooperation between Binh Duong and province Champasak. To deserve the honors which the People’s Democratic Republic of Laos has awarded, in the southern province of Binh Duong, we will do our best to preserve in determined efforts to nurture the special relationship of Vietnam - Laos in general and Binh Duong Province and Champasak Province in particular to new heights.Reported by H.VAN - Q.CHIEN – Translated by Vi Bao
