With the motto "Listen to the people, say what people can understand, make the people believe", in recent years, Steering Committee of military units doing mass mobilization work in Thuan An City has applied Party's views on mass mobilization, President Ho Chi Minh's thoughts on mass mobilization to performing missions in the new situation; thereby, helping to strengthen the people's trust in the Party, and build a strong clean political system.

Happy day at hometown

On bad weather days, both legs of Tran Van Dung, a wounded soldier living in An Thoi hamlet (An Son commune) got aches and pains. When a militia medical delegation came to examine and distribute medicines to policy families in this commune, he felt so grateful. He and his family went to the commune’s Medical station very early to pick up the delegation.

Dung said: "My legs hurt so it is inconvenient to go far, now the military doctors come to this place and do the health examination for local residents, I feel very happy. This is an activity that shows the care of the authorities, military units for veterans like me, as well as policy families in the locality.

For the family of Tran Thi Kim Phuc, a poor household in An Thoi hamlet (An Son commune), perhaps the joy was much more, because this year her family received a military-people friendship house. The house was built with a total cost of VND 105 million, of which VND 80 million was supported by Military School of Military Region 7, VND 20 million supported by Military Command of Thuan An City, and VND 5 million by Military Command of An Son commune. Being settled in a good house will be the motivation for Phuc's family to work harder and improve their lives.

This year, the mass mobilization program was organized in An Son commune with the participation of officers and soldiers of Military Region 7 Military School, 71st Air Defense Brigade, 94th Brigade, General Department II - Ministry of National Defense. The forces carried out many practical works in An Son, such as: Giving gifts to policy families, building and offering military-people houses, organizing gift-giving activities, free medical examinations, distribution of free medicines to poor households, policy families ...

Nguyen Khanh Hoa, Secretary of An Son Commune Party Committee, said: "Military units performing mass mobilization work in this locality have left good impressions by carrying out and completing many works helping canals to be cleared, roads become wider, building houses... These helped local administration effectively maintain movements, encourage people to respond to the commune's campaigns; take better care of policy families, poor households, near-poor households. These activities made the image of Uncle Ho's army more brilliant, created good feelings among the people; tightened the sentiment between military units and the Party, the government and the local people".

To strengthen coordination

Coordination activities for mass mobilization work aim to encourage the roles and responsibilities of committees, authorities, agencies, departments, unions, officers and soldiers of the armed forces in communes and wards in Thuan An City in propagation and raising awareness to develop activities of "Repaying gratitude" on occasion of the 75th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2022); to make the image of Uncle Ho's army more brilliant to the people, contributing to the successful implementation of the national target program of building new rural areas and building civilized urban areas in the locality, facilitating socio-economic development, improving the material and spiritual life of people in the area.

Steering Committee of military units doing mass mobilization work has made many efforts to complete their tasks, to be the consultant to the city Party on mass mobilization, religious and ethnic work, and the implementation of the basic democratic regulations. The Steering Committee has coordinated with local agencies, unions and military units stationed in the area to enhance propagation to notify the people of raising vigilance, consolidating the national unity bloc; encourage the spirit of creative labor, promote grassroots democracy, raise sense of responsibility in building cultural life in residential areas ...

In the coming time, Thuan An Steering Committee of military units doing mass mobilization work will continue to strengthen the coordination with Fatherland Front, unions, organizations, military units stationed in the area to organize propagation activities, encourage members, officials, soldiers and people to well implement the Party's policies, the State’s laws; continue to do civil mobilization activities to help people having difficult circumstances, build social welfare works in communes and wards.
