Local IIP surges

Despite facing difficulties, province-based enterprises have been proactive in material sources and changed the way of approaching, introducing products, helping their manufacturing activities gradually recover in the first quarter of 2022, according to provincial Department of Industry and Trade.

The province’s main industries had a number of new export orders. Many enterprises focused on recruiting a large number of workers. Also during the period, along with enterprises actively taking solutions for recovery, there were additional 367 enterprises in operation.

In the first three months of the year, the province’s index of industrial production (IIP) was estimated at increasing by 7.2% over the same period in 2021. Of these, mining decreased by 10.8%; processing and manufacturing increased by 7.14%; electricity production and distribution increased by 5.6%; water supply, wastewater and sewage treatment increased by 16.6%.
