Update: 08-10-2011 | 00:00:00

On Sept. 30, SP Setia Berhad Group (Malaysia) officially opened EcoXuan new urban project at Thuan An town. EcoXuan is the first exclusive project of SP Setia in Vietnam. The project is designed perfectly on an area of 10.8ha with the total investment capital of US$177mil. EcoXuan is away 16km from HCMC. The distance will shortened after completion of Phu Long Bridge. With the advantaged position, hundreds of clients were booked in the opening day of EcoXuan.

Stanley Saw, Setia Lai Thieu Company general director, said “We are very pleased to introduce EcoXuan project to the public, especially clients from HCMC who hope to seek out new clean environment for their life”.

Earlier, Ecolakes My Phuoc project in Ben Cat district invested by SetiaBecamex (a joint venture between SP Setia Berhad and Becamex IDC) showed a good operation. Ecolakes My Phuoc is one of Vietnam’s biggest real estate projects so far with the total capital of US$620mil on an area of 226ha.

After handing 251 houses over clients in the end of 2010, SetiaBecamex JSC just handed 58 villas over clients. In the past month, the company introduced 43 villas to clients.

Reportedly, in the second quarter of 2011, prices of villas and apartments in Binh Duong increased 67% from the previous quarter. This is the highest increase level so far. At Binh Duong New City’s hub, land price sky-rockets from VND3.5-12mil/sqm in 2010 to VND5-17mil/sqm in the first quarter of 2011.

Notably, most of clients and investors have paid attention to products made by famous real estate companies. Therefore, big projects of Ecolakes My Phuoc, EcoXuan, Binh Duong new city… have become exemplary models for other real estate projects.

The strong development of local real estate market is thanks to modern urban planning policies launched by the local administration. These policies have paid attention to infrastructure facilities such as electricity, traffic network, education and healthcare as well as instruction to be a central city by 2020…
