Whole sector emulating together
Nguyen Khoa Hai, Director of provincial DoCST said that the sector’s basic target for emulation movements over the past five years was to follow hard on the Resolution of the 10th Party congress, the annual programs, plans of provincial Party Committee, People’s Council and People’s Committee while realizing contents in accordance with the instruction, guidance of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Over the past five years, the sector promoted emulation movements and reached major results.

During the 2015-2020 period, the sector implemented 50 propaganda stages on political events, organized 68 photo exhibitions, 46 contests and festivals at provincial level…, well serving its political tasks and meeting locals ‘demand for enjoying culture. The sector also paid attention to preserving and upholding the nation’s cultural values with significant activities organized. From 2015 to 2019, provincial Museum welcomed 738,386 visitors and collected 1,115 objects. The whole province has so far had a total of 13 national-level relics, 47 provincial-level relics and an object “Wooden jar grave with kettledrum cover” excavated in Tan Uyen town’s Phu Chanh commune, which was recognized as a national previous object by the Prime Minister together with Tuong Binh Hiep lacquer village belonging to the list of national intangible cultural heritages.
Especially, provincial DoCST advised provincial People’s Committee on successfully organizing the 2nd national “Don ca tai tu” (southern folk music) festival 2017, thereby contributing to popularizing the local people and land to friends at home and abroad. Provincial DoCST also organized 789 art performances, serving the local major events and absorbing 394,500 viewers…Units under provincial DoCST also took part in national, regional-level contests, festivals and obtained high prizes.
The sector also promoted the movement of “All people consolidate to build cultural lifestyle”, bringing positive results in all aspects of social life. The rates of cultural families, cultural quarters/hamlets, cultural lodging facilities, cultural communes and cultural wards in the whole province in 2015 were 94.27%, 81,56%, 59.30%, 70.83%, 18.60%, respectively. As of 2019, they were 96,84%, 98.63%, 93.73%, 82.60% and 55.55%...
In 2018, the province’s sports field was ranked 10th among 65 provinces and cities participating in the 8th national Sports Festival for the first time, with 76 various medals. With the achievement, the field took the lead in the southeastern region and was awarded the excellent emulation banner. The sector also won a silver medal in Karate at ASIAD 2018; 2 gold medals, 4 bronze medals at SEA Games 2017; 3 gold medals, 2 bronze medals at SEA Games 2019…
The province’s tourism field also achieved positive and obvious changes. The sector saw the annual growth of 5% and 6% in number of tourists and revenue. The province’s tourism popularization was promoted through organizing and taking part in tourism events. The field also attached special importance to making coherence in the southeastern region for better development.

Many exemplary role-models were also discovered through the sector’s 2015-2020 emulation movement. They were seen as typical examples for the sector’s staff to study and follow.
Mr.Hai said that the sector’s good implementation for emulation-reward over the past time was a motivation for the whole sector to strive to excellently fulfill major tasks and targets. For the quality of emulation-reward improved, the sector will constantly try to complete entrusted tasks with the highest achievements, contributing to fulfilling the province’s targets on socio-economic development…
