Provincial Agricultural Promotion Center has over time built many programs in line with the trend of high tech-based agricultural development. Many effective agricultural production models have been discovered from these programs.

In 2011, provincial Agricultural Promotion Center built and implemented seven programs on the development of urban agriculture; industrial trees and fruit trees; aquaculture; special animals; training and communication.

  The cross-bred wild boar-breeding model of a farmer household Many good models were discovered from the program on urban agricultural development, in which the madonna lily-growing model was tentatively implemented  in 15 places of Tan Uyen district’s Uyen Hung, Thai Hoa townships and Thanh Hoi, Thanh Phuoc communes with the average productivity of 1,946 flowers per 200 sq.m.

Similarly, the orchid-growing model was realized in 8 tentative places of Ben Cat district, TDM city and Thuan An town, bringing high economic efficiency.

Many other models in the program such as those of breeding ornamental fish, growing safe cucumber and bitter melon….also reached positive results, absorbing the attentation and participation of many local farmers.

For the program on the development of industrial and fruit trees, there were many models of intensive farming for rubber, pepper and pomelo, bringing high economic efficiency.

Provincial Agricultural Promotion Center last year also built five tentative models on breeding cross-bred wild boar, porcupine, rabbit, H’Mong chicken and frog. These models have contributed to changing the livestock breeding habits of the local farmers towards the new ones for better results…

The above models have created positive impacts to changing the old agri-production habits in order to raise farmers’income, but their evolution is still limited because of high input costs, unfavorable weather conditions, complicated development of diseases...
