Mass mobilization continues reaching in-depth development

In the first half of 2020, the province continued well implementing mass mobilization, mobilizing locals to make emulation in work, boosting dissemination of information about Covid-19 prevention and control…These programs reached in-depth development.

Nguyen Van Loc, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of provincial Fatherland Front Committee (FFC) said that thanks to the efforts by the local Party, government and people, the province well realized measures against Covid-19 pandemic amid the complicated development of the pandemic. There were no cases of Covid-19 reported in the province.

The province also excelled at realizing social welfare policies for policy beneficiaries, poor people and workers; supported VND537.5billion for needy people; spent VND3.2billion on building gratitude, “great unity” houses and offered 600 TV sets to poor households. Province-based mass organizations, religious organizations organized many effective models in supporting those who faced difficulties, due to Covid-19 pandemic. For example, they implemented “rice ATM” programs; offered free face masks to locals…with a total value of billions of dong. In response to the appeal by provincial FFC, the whole province supported VND260billion for Covid-19 prevention and control; organized market-days with zero dong…

So far, the province has supported VND58.5billion for policy beneficiaries, people facing difficulties, due to Covid-19 pandemic; received 3,226 documents from laborers who have sufficient conditions for allowances and rechecked the demand for loans of people affected by Covid-19 pandemic for timely support. Accordingly, there have been 5,969 targeted people in loan need of VND317billion.

In terms of mass mobilization, provincial People’s Committee also instructed relevant sectors to review the 2016-2020 joint program on mass mobilization, extend interior tasks, make the fight against corruption and judicial reform, handle queries in the process of realizing projects, hasten the progress of construction for key projects, social housing projects; urged the People’s Committees of districts to make a plan on land use to 2030, five-year plan on land use from 2021 to 2025…

Also according to Mr.Loc, there were no Covid-19 cases reported in the province amid the complicated development of the pandemic. But, the province’s mass mobilization needs to continue more effectively realizing Covid-19 prevention and control. This task also needs to be associated with production-business, stabilizing the local social order and security. In addition, province-based socio-political mass organizations need to redress obstacles in personnel for better operation with focus on Covid-19 prevention, control and socio-economic development.
