Militia platoon at industrial parks to ensure security for business activities

Starting from Standing militia platoon at VSIP I industrial park (Thuan An town), this specialized squad model has been developed by many localities to maintain  security and order in industrial zones.

Industrial parks were located within or near residential areas, thus administration of locality has encountered problems. Criminals, gangs appeared and affected negatively business activities of companies and worker’s live. Therefore, provincial Military Command advised provincial Party Committee, People's Committee to develop a standing militia squad at VSIP I industrial park. At first, the squad faced many difficulties in policies. However, learning from experiences, making good its shortcomings, operations of the squad have been stabilized and improved.

Simultaneously, local government and VSIP IP Management Board have also paid attention to developing unified operations direction, management, planning. In addition to caring for material, spiritual life, education and training for the standing militia squad have also been carried out. Operations of the squad were improved, coordinated with other security forces to enhance patrols, attacks on crimes, protect businesses’ assets. In addition, since the standing militia squad was located at VSIP I industrial park, many complex problems in adjacent areas were also handled, consolidating confidence from committees, authorities, particularly business community and people.

From success of this model, provincial Military Command has directed to expand the model to other industrial zones, such as: Song Than I, II industrial park (Di An town), My Phuoc industrial park (Ben Cat town). These standing militia squads have received support from all levels and enterprises while fulfilling tasks. Due to comprehensive construction, agreement in policies, operation plan across forces, care for material and spiritual life, training education of the Party and government, military force, soldiers of standing militia squads have implemented well their tasks.

In the future, provincial Military Command will suggest spreading this model into key industrial zones in the province in order to maintain security, facilitate business activities; build up militia force of the province to be strong and wide in accordance with the plan by 2020.
