On August 1, the “Nhip cau nhan ai” charity program of Binh Duong Daily made mention of Nguyen Hoang Duy who suffered from heart disease for 14 years and did not receive medical treatment because of poverty. He was born in 1996 and now resides at 129/58, Huynh Van Cu street, Phu Cuong ward, TDM town.

 

After knowing about the hard circumstance of Nguyen Hoang Duy, many State agencies, units and individuals offered help to him. On August 10, he was sent to HCM city-based Children’s Hospital 2 to enjoy a heart surgery. Duy’s health was completely recovered on October 22 and then came back school.

On behalf of Duy’s family, Phuong Ngan expressed thanks to donors who offered help to him. His family received VND20mln from readers via the “Nhip cau nhan ai” charity program. He enjoyed a heart surgery with supported cost of VND57mln and his family only paid VND10mln for the surgery.

 It is known that after his heart surgery, Duy asked for his family to extract partial money funded by readers to the HCM City Sponsoring Fund for Poor Patients, donate VND500,000 to a child with heart disease in Ha Tinh province and VND400,000 to flood-hit people in the central region.
