Over 270 people in Phu Giao participate in 1st voluntary blood donation campaign of 2024

Early January 2, Phu Giao district’s Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation Mobilization in collaboration with HCM city-based Cho Ray Hospital’s Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center organized the first voluntary blood donation campaign of 2024.

The campaign absorbed more than 270 officials, civil servants, public employees, Youth Union members and people in the district. Through rapid tests, 255 people were eligible to donate blood. Each person donated 1 unit of blood, equivalent to 350ml. The total amount of blood collected was 89,250ml, which was transferred to Cho Ray Hospital's Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center for preservation for use in treatment and research activities.

It is known that in 2024, the district’s Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation Mobilization is assigned the target of collecting 2,000 units of blood.
