Provincial Buddhist Sangha’s Executive Board, on January 29, forwarded a conference to review its activities in 2014 and define orientations through 2015.
Last year, provincial Buddhist Sangha successfully held great holidays, including the United Nations Day of Vesak; opened a national class on propagation of Buddhist faith; visited and presented gifts to soldiers on Truong Sa island; maintained heroic Vietnamese mothers; presented 6 charity houses and 2 rural bridges; visited and gave gifts for poor people in Laos, Cambodia…with a total expense of more than VND17bln.
Provincial Buddhist Sangha this year will further consolidate its affiliates, organize great holidays and better realize social charity activities…
On this occasion, superior Buddhist monk Thich Hue Thong, Head of provincial Buddhist Sangha’s Executive Board was awarded the memento “For the national great unity cause” of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee. Provincial People’s Committee and Fatherland Front Committee presented the certificates of merit to 9 collectives and 12 individuals. The Central Committee of Vietnam Buddhist Sangha and provincial Buddhist Sangha also awarded the certificates of merit to outstanding collectives and individuals in the local Buddhist affairs.
