Despite challenges of inflation, the provincial party committee for corporate bloc has since the start of this year led its party cells at companies to excel 2 tasks of production-business and party building.

Changes of production-business

Nguyen Thanh Tam, standing vice secretary of provincial party committee for corporate bloc, said price of materials and goods consumption market have become complicated, laborers’ life remains difficult. Therefore, party cells at all levels have cooperated with companies’ directorates to lead officials and party members and employees to complete the proposed tasks.

 Many big projects playing role in local socio-economic promotion have been implemented as planned. Meanwhile, companies relating to trade, service and tourism sectors have contributed to stabilize market price and control inflation.

Notably, operation of investment funds and banks has excelled monetary policies to implement resolution 11/NQ-CP, instructions and action plans of localities in a bid to curb inflation, stabilize macro-economy and ensure social welfare.

At the meantime, insurance and post-telecommunication, electricity and gas & oil companies… have ensured their growth and revenue and completed a task of State budget payment.

Key tasks

Aside from economic development, the bloc has spared no efforts to reinforce the Party development among young workers. The bloc’ party cells at all levels have spurred mobilizations of “Studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s moral examples”.

The bloc secretary Tran Van Phuc, said to spur the Party development inside and outside the State area, the bloc party committee has set up a steering board. Since the start of this year, the bloc has received 16 new party members and set up 3 grassroot party cells and admitted 198 new party members, lifting the bloc’s total party members up to 2,373.

Binh Duong makes efforts to finish tasks

In the first 9 months of this year, the provincial GDP increased 13.7%. This is an encouraging figure amid the current difficulties.

Despite the obstacles, Binh Duong has still reached remarkable results with VND85,164bil in industrial production value in the first 9 months of 2011, a 17.5% rise from the same period last year.

Some sectors with a fair growth included paper, chemical, timber processing, furniture, rubber… In the period, additional 57 new businesses went into operation.

At present, more than 1,670 businesses have exported products to 193 nations and territories. The local import revenue has reached US$6.161bil, a 28.5% rise from the same period last year. Meanwhile, the local retail market has reaped VND41,366bil, a 29.7% rise from the same period last year.

Over the past 9 months, domestic investment collected VND24,320bil and foreign investment reached US$736mil. Of these, local industrial parks lured US$691mil with 48 new projects and 72 capital added ones. The entire province now has 2,041 projects, capitalized at US$14,374mil.

Efforts to finish goals

Amid common difficulties, Binh Duong has still reached remarkable results. However, the locality has faced obstacles and challenges. Therefore, the local People’s Committee has steered agencies at all levels to implement Resolution 11, local party committee and People’s Council’s resolutions on local socio-economic development in 2011.

Excelling financial policies, public investment reduction and so on, the locality saved VND475bil and collected VND17tril for the State budget, winning 81% of the provincial People’s Council’s estimate.

In addition, all level agencies and sectors have spurred basic construction projects and solved difficulties for businesses to promote production and business.

One of measures that the local People’s Committee asked localities to finish in the coming time is the very inspection work of implementation of Labor Code at businesses. The province has asked businesses to adjust minimum wage levels for laborers to help them improve their living conditions.
