Patriotic emulation movement 2017 launched

Provincial People’s Committee, on April 5, held a conference to review the local emulation-reward work in 2016 and launched the local patriotic emulation movement in 2017, which was presided over by Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Committee, Chairman of provincial Council of Emulation and Reward. Also attending the event were Nguyen Thanh Liem, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Public Relations, Chairman of provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Le Huu Phuoc, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Education and Propaganda.

The local authorities and Party organizations at all levels last year promoted patriotic emulation movements among officials and people. This contributed to upholding the strength of national great unity bloc, joining hands with the local government and Party to surmount difficulties, carry out the resolution of the 10^th local Party congress; turning patriotic emulation movements into a revolutionary motivation, making the locality be firmly on the way of industrialization and modernization. Many outstanding collectives and individuals were also discovered through patriotic emulation movements.

Speaking at the conference, Mr.Liem suggested the local authorities, Party organizations, mass organizations at all levels, enterprises and locals to further bring into full play achievements done by them in order to victoriously realize tasks on socio-economic development in 2017 and in the following years. He also launched the local patriotic emulation movement in 2017 and the movement of “All people take part in building new rural areas” for the period of 2016-2020.

On this occasion, provincial People’s Committee awarded the emulation banners to 10 outstanding units in the local patriotic emulation movement; the certificates of merit to 26 collectives and 36 individuals for their excellent performance in 2016.
