Tan Uyen hails “good farmer in production and business” emulation movement for 2014-2016

Early April 3, Tan Uyen town’s Farmers Association held a conference to review and praise the “good farmer in production and business” emulation movement for the period of 2014-2016.

The emulation movement reached development both in depth and width over the past time. Particularly, there were nearly 11,100 local farmers winning the “good farmer” title at all levels or 87% of total during the 2014-2016 period. Among them, 97 were good farmers at central level, 643 at provincial level, 2,648 at town level and 7,892 at grassroots level.

In the period of 2017-2019, the town’s Farmers Association will continue improving the quality and effectiveness of the emulation movement, contributing to rapidly shifting the local animal and plant structure, creating agricultural products with higher value and competitiveness.

On this occasion, the town’s People’s Committee honored 12 collectives and 24 individuals having excellent achievements in the emulation movement for the period of 2014-2016. The town’s Farmers Association also awarded the “good farmer” title to 864 farmers.
