Bau Bang marks 3rd anniversary of establishment

Early March 31, Bau Bang district’s People’s Committee held a get-together to mark the 3^rd anniversary of the district’s establishment (April 1, 2014-April 1, 2017), in attendance of Nguyen Thanh Liem, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Public Relations and Chairman of provincial Fatherland Front Committee.

After three years of establishment, the district has reached remarkable achievements in socio-economic development with national defense-security maintained. As of late 2016, the district absorbed 108 domestic and FDI projects with a total registered capital of US$83.5million and nearly VND9.7trillion. The figure has brought the total number of domestic and FDI projects in the district so far to 481 with a total registered capital of VND24.5trillion and more than US$1.3billion. In 2016, the district’s total industrial production value increased by 15%; total retail sales of commodities and services by more than 22%; total agricultural production value by 5.6%. The district now has 5 out of 7 communes recognized as new rural ones. The remaining 2 communes are expected to fulfill criteria of the new rural construction program in 2017…The district is striving to become an industrial-urban hub in the northern region of the province till 2020 and is also making procedures to be recognized as a locality with the title of “Labor hero in the renewal period”.

On this occasion, the district also awarded the title of “strong and pure Party organization” for five consecutive years from 2012 to 2016 to the Party cell 4 under Hung Hoa commune’s Party Committee and the certificates of merit to 24 outstanding individuals during the past five years from 2012 to 2016.
