“Good farmer in production-business” movement honored

Early March 31, Ben Cat town’s Farmers Association held a conference to review, honor its “good farmer in production-business” movement for the period of 2014-2016 and implement orientations, tasks for the period of 2017-2019.

Under the “good farmer in production-business” emulation movement, 12,996 local farmers were recognized as good farmers at all levels or 82% of total. In 2016 alone, there were 4,106 farmers winning the “good farmer” title at all levels or 82% of total. Many effective models were also discovered from the emulation movement with the annual income of VND100million and above…, generating jobs for rural laborers.

The association and its branches were also proactive to help farmers get loans for cultivation and animal husbandry with total outstanding loans of VND11.3billion; coordinated with the Vietnam Bank for Social Policy’s Ben Cat branch to make loan disbursement for 3,259 farmers with total outstanding loans of more than VND40billion…

On this occasion, the town’s People’s Committee awarded the certificates of merit to 11 collectives and 28 individuals with excellent achievements in the emulation movement of “good farmer in production and business” for the period of 2014-2016.
