Periodic conference on 6-month news held

Early July 19, provincial Party Committee's Commission for Propaganda and Education held a periodic conference on news in the first 6 months of 2022 for former leaders of the province over periods at provincial School of Politics. Truong Thi Bich Hanh, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Propaganda and Education chaired the conference.

At the conference, Assoc.Prof.Dr.Nguyen Quoc Dung, member of the Central Theoretical Council, Director of the Political Academy of the Region II informed delegates of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, policies and views of Vietnam about the situation. Mai Hung Dung, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee also reported the results of the local socio-economic performance in the first 6 months of 2022 and the implementation of key programs, plans and projects on the local socio-economic development in the coming time.

In the first 6 months of 2022, with the efforts for recovery after the peak outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic, all socio-economic fields of the province reached stability and development with many important indicators gaining high growth compared to the whole country. Binh Duong also led the country in per capita income for 2 consecutive years (from 2020 to 2021). The flow of foreign direct investment into the province continued increasing and the local economy continued getting many prospects. Among the 34 socio-economic development targets approved at the  Resolution No. 42/NQ-HDND dated December 10, 2021 of provincial People's Council on socio-economic development plan for 2022, up to now, there have been 13 targets reaching and exceeding the plan; 4 targets at a low level while the remaining targets were at a stable growth and are expected to reach the set plan by the end of 2022.

From now to year-end, the province will focus on improving the quality of grassroots healthcare, providing Covid-19 vaccine shots for people; reviewing and removing obstacles in production and business activities, clearing bottlenecks in mobilizing and using resources in the economy, striving to complete the set plan. Provincial People's Committee will implement projects with inter-regional impacts, such as: the belt road No.3, belt road No.4, Ho Chi Minh city - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh expressway through the province; coordinate with relevant units in implementing projects such as building Bach Dang 2 bridge connecting Dong Nai  and Binh Duong; upgrading and expanding national highway 13, My Phuoc - Tan Van expressway, An Tay port...
