Phu Giao district’s jubilant ethnic festival of culture and sports 2023

On April 19, Phu Giao district organized the sixth cultural and sports festival of ethnic minorities in 2023.

The festival is organized to inspire pride in the origin, presere and promote the diverse cultures of ethnic groups; thereby, creating conditions for ethnic minorities to have the opportunity to exchange and learn and help to make progress in production, step by step meeting the needs of people to enjoy cultural and spiritual values.

In addition to ethnic minorities in the district, the festival also had the participation of invited delegations from localities inside and outside the province including Dong Phu district and Loc Ninh district of Binh Phuoc province, Thu Dau Mot city, and Dau Tieng district. In the festival, the delegations participated in sports competitions and folk games of throwing bowls, going to the bridge, tug of war, sack jumping, walking on stilts, pushing sticks, football, arts and camping competitions.

In addition to the above-mentioned competition contents, procession festival, exchange of singing and dancing of ethnic communities, special cuisine of ethnic groups have been also available at the festival.

The festival will take place from April 19 to 20, 2023, at the traditional house of Phu Giao district.
