Picking gold at national professional playground

From June 7 to 30, the 2021 National Professional Music and Dance Festival  for the phase 2 took place in Buon Ma Thuot city in the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak. With its special performance, the "Binh Duong - Warm land - Human love" program of provincial Center for Culture - Arts excellently won the gold medal at the festival.

Taking great pains with training

In 2021, in order to prepare to participate in the National Professional Music and Dance Festival in the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak, the Folk Music and Dance Troupe under provincial Center for Culture and Arts staged and practiced the program of "Binh Duong - Warm earth - Human love". However, due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic, the festival was postponed and moved to June 2022. During that time, members of the art troupe adapted flexibly in training and actively worked as volunteers against the pandemic.

Choreographer Doan Quoc Linh, Head of provincial Folk Music and Dance Troupe said that after Binh Duong returned to the "new normal" state, the troupe had maintained practice and performed in a number of conferences and important events of the province. The program participating in the National Professional Music and Dance Festival has the theme "Binh Duong - Warm Land - Human Love", including 2 chapters: Chapter I named "Warm Land" with 7 performances and Chapter II named “Human Love” with 6 performances. With passion and creativity, members of the art troupe successfully performed at the festival, leaving many impressions on the audience and participating units, contributing to promoting Binh Duong with its achievements built in the past and a worth- living place the future.

According to Tran Thanh Son, Director of provincial Arts and Culture Center, after more than a year of practice and revision under the suggestions of provincial Arts Council and artists, the troupe successfully performed at the festival, contributing to promoting Binh Duong’s land and people to friends nationwide. Binh Duong is a land that is not only famous for its orchards and traditional villages on ceramics, lacquerware..., but also known with industrial parks, smart and modern cities. Binh Duong today has developed tremendously, but the memories of a time of reclaiming land with hardships are still handed down from generation to generation.

Joy from the first gold medal

The National Professional Dance Music Festival 2021 for the phase 2 attracted the participation of more than 1,000 artists, actors and officials from 22 art units nationwide. This is considered as an opportunity for artists working in the fields of singing, dancing to exchange, gain experience and improve their professional skills while helping cultural management agencies and leaders of art units to discover young talents, thereby making plans to foster them in the coming time.

Sharing with us about the joy when Binh Duong was honored with the gold medal at the festival, musician Le Anh Tung said that he was very happy, proud and honored to join hands with other members of the troupe to bring Binh Duong the first gold medal. At the festival, the troupe had the opportunity to exchange, learn from experience from friends and enjoy many high-quality singing, dancing programs...

According to the festival's Arts Council, the program of provincial Arts and Culture Center firmly adhered to the local identity material and was one of the works using contemporary language creatively, making a colorful picture at the festival.

“This gold medal means a lot to us. This will be the motivation for Binh Duong's literary and artistic contingent to promote their artistic creativity more in the coming time. Hopefully, provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and provincial leaders will continue to paying attention to and creating conditions for us to bravely invest and build high-quality music and dance programs in both content and form, meeting the tastes of the audience and the people," added Mr. Son
