Planning for construction of North Tan Uyen until 2040 approved

Provincial People's Committee has just issued the Decision No. 2685/QD-UBND approving the planning tasks for the construction of North Tan Uyen district until 2040. This decision replaces provincial People's Committee’s Decision No. 497/QD-UBND dated March 8, 2023.

Accordingly, the research area under the administrative boundaries of North Tan Uyen district includes 2 towns of Tan Thanh, Tan Binh and 8 communes of Binh My, Tan Lap, Dat Cuoc, Tan Dinh, Hieu Liem, Lac An, Thuong Tan and Tan My. The district’s north area borders Phu Giao and Bau Bang districts. The south borders Tan Uyen city and Dong Nai river in Dong Nai province’s Vinh Cuu district. The east borders Be river and Dong Nai river in Dong Nai province’s Vinh Cuu district and the west borders Ben Cat city.

The scope of the planning is implemented over the entire natural area of North Tan Uyen district, which is 40,030.8 hectares, with a development orientation towards industrialization, urbanization and ecological agriculture.

Stages of upgrading urban areas: In the phase up to 2030, the district will have 4 urban areas, including Tan Thanh town achieving criteria for a fourth-class city; Tan Binh town as a fifth-class city; recognize Binh My and Tan Lap as fifth-class cities; build modern and sustainable urban areas towards fifth-class urban area. In the phase from 2030 to 2050, criteria for North Tan Uyen urban area will be enhanced to achieve a fourth-class city, leading to the establishment of North Tan Uyen town.

North Tan Uyen district’s People's Committee is responsible for developing a planning for the construction of North Tan Uyen district until 2040 in accordance with the approved adjusted tasks, ensuring compliance with current regulations and standards.
