Many advantages
According to experts, in recent years, in our country, ecotourism model has been developing more and more; not only developing various types of eco-tourism along the river routes, but also the types of tourism to visit farms and travel experiences as farmers.
Dr. Vo Thanh Block (former Director of Regional Political Academy II), said that rural tourism, agricultural tourism, homestay tourism are getting more and more attention from tourists, especially homestay tourism. Through this type of tourism, visitors can eat, stay, live and work with local people. Binh Duong currently has a large area of fruit orchards, so it has conditions to implement various types of agricultural tourism.
At the workshop on orientation of entertainment industry development in Bau Bang district in the period of 2017-2020 and the vision to 2030, Dr. Vo Huu Phuoc (Faculty of Economics, Political Academy of Region II), gave Considering that, Bau Bang district, despite promoting industrial and urban development, still has a strong agricultural sector. In addition to perennial industrial trees, fruit trees in the district occupy a large area, in which many fruit tree farms are implemented according to VietGAP standards. With this advantage, Bau Bang can deploy various types of tourism experiences, homestay tours for tourists to participate in the process of caring, harvesting and preserving agricultural products. Not only in Bau Bang, other localities like Tan Uyen and Bac Tan Uyen and Phu Giao also have conditions to deploy this type of tourism.
Ms. Nguyen Thanh Thuy, owner of Thanh Thuy pomelo farm (Long Nguyen commune, Bau Bang district), said her farm is building a pilot area in the garden to develop tourism experience for tourists. Here, visitors have visited the garden, picking fruits and processing the dishes on the spot. She is also planning to build homestays in the garden so that visitors can stay from 2 - 3 days, experiencing a true farmer.
Associated with high-tech agriculture
Over the past years, Binh Duong has promoted the development of high-tech agriculture and achieved successes. Up to now, the province has formed An Thai high-tech agricultural zone (An Thai commune, Phu Giao district), high-tech dairy breeding area (Tan Hiep and Phuoc Sang communes, Phu Giao district) etc. and models of urban agriculture and high-tech farms bring high economic efficiency.
According to Master Tran Thi Tuyet Van (University of Social Sciences and Humanities in Ho Chi Minh City), combining tourism activities with high-tech agriculture will help Binh Duong to build a type of tourism. new, exploiting available local resources are available with high-tech models and farms. “The combination of this tourism model and the available tourism types of Binh Duong will contribute to creating diversity and richness, bringing newness to attract tourists to visit, learn, experience, extend the period of stay in the locality, thereby contributing to increase tourism revenue for the province, ”said Dr. Van.
With this view, Dr. Block said that Binh Duong has enough conditions to develop high-tech agricultural tourism. However, the province must build appropriate products and connect with other localities to create links and links. For example, in Bau Bang district, farms need to build their own tourism products in particular, not only developing separately but also expanding closely with other types of cultural tourism; Build routes, combine tours. Thus, high-tech agricultural tourism in particular and Binh Duong's agricultural tourism in general will have new locations to attract tourists.
