Propaganda workshop on Directive No. 30-CT/TW of the Secretariat

On the afternoon of December 18, the Department of Industry and Trade coordinated with the National Competition Commission under the Ministry of Industry and Trade to organize a workshop to propagate Directive 30-CT/TW of the Secretariat on strengthening the CPV leadership and management responsibility, and State regulations on protecting consumer rights and new points of the Law on Protection of Consumer Rights (amended version) 2023.

At the conference, Dr. Doan Quang Dong, Chief Consumer Rights Protection Specialist of the National Competition Commission, introduced Directive No. 30-CT-TW of the Secretariat and Resolution No. 82/NQ-CP of the Government. Dr. Doan Quang Dong particularly emphasized the necessity of issuing directives from the Secretariat on the protection of consumer rights, groups of solutions and tasks specified in the directive, especially solutions to strengthen state management on protecting consumer rights and promoting propaganda, education, and awareness raising on consumer protection.

Delegates were also introduced to some new points of the Law on Protection of Consumer Rights (amended version) 2023. Participating in the workshop, representatives of the Department of Industry and Trade and the provincial Consumer Rights Protection Association informed on the implementation of Directive No. 30-CT/TW of the Secretariat and the recent results of the implementation of consumer rights protection in the locality. Along with that, delegates raised many opinions on strengthening penalties for violations in the field of protecting consumer rights, improve the effectiveness of fighting and preventing violations in the field of consumer rights protection.
