Province marks HCMYPO’s 75th founding anniversary

Early May 15, provincial Youth Union Standing Committee and Ho Chi Minh Youth Pioneer Organization (HCMYPO) held a ceremony to mark the 75th anniversary of the HCMYPO (May 15, 1941-May 15, 2016) and honor advanced role-models in the “For beloved juniors” campaign with the theme of “75 flower seasons-HCMYPO growing up  together with the nation”. Attending to the ceremony were Tran Van Nam, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee; Dang Minh Hung, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee.

The ceremony reviewed the development of the HCMYPO during the past 75 years. The province’s movements for children also constantly grew up. Many emulation movements, namely “For beloved juniors”, “Vietnamese children emulating to well realize 5 Uncle Ho’s teachings”, “Lightening dreams of Binh Duong’s children”…were implemented widely and deeply with many achievements.

The organizers also held an exchange with HCMYPO officials over periods while presenting “Canh en Hong” (Pink swallow wings) and Kim Dong prizes to winners. On this occasion, province People’s Committee awarded the certificates of merit to 30 teachers who are in charge of the HCMYPO at schools; donors for their contributions to the “For beloved juniors” campaign in the 2011-2016 period. The Central Committees of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and Vietnam Women’s Union presented 6 playgrounds worth VND300mln to children in the province. Kim Oanh foundation also gave 120 gifts worth VND3mln each to poor-but-excellent pupils in the province.

Addressing the ceremony, Mr.Hung praised the province’s HCMYPO for achievements done over the past time while suggesting sectors and authorities at all levels of the province to create the best conditions for children, especially those with difficult circumstances to rise up. The local HCMYPO members also need to be more obedient and get higher achievements in study to become useful citizens.
