Provincial Agencies Bloc’s youths: A summer with significant activities

Provincial Agencies Bloc’s youths successful worked out many significant activities during the youth summer volunteer campaign 2010. These activities saw diversification as well as improvement in quality, creating a lot of good imprints in localities.

 

Reportedly, there were 26 youths of the bloc visiting and making volunteer activities in remote areas of the province. They repaired 6 houses for lonely people; dredged 3 km of interior field canals for 11 ha of rice cultivation and two irrigation canals; organized a class on skills of growing rubber trees for 17 learners; opened summer classes for pupils in Dacbulso commune…

 

Many other youths of the bloc also got involved in many significant activities for the sale of public welfare, including making environmental hygiene, providing free medical check-ups and medicine, giving legal support, organizing summer activities for primary pupils…Particularly, the bloc’s youth squad for law dissemination organized 7 shows on law dissemination and legal support, granted 11,000 legal leaflets and many other leaflets on flu prevention to households in Tan Uyen, Ben Cat, Dau Tieng districts…

 

During the campaign, 150 youths of the bloc removed the illegal advertising boards on 3 streets and cleared canals in TDM town; provided free medical check-ups, medicine and gifts for 1,200 people in Tan Uyen district’s Phu Chanh commune, Ben Cat district’s Lai Hung commune, Phu Giao district’s Tan Hiep, Phuoc Sang, Phuoc Vinh, Vinh Hoa communes, Thuan An district’s An Thanh and Lai Thieu townships.

 

They also  presented 68 gifts worth VND22mln to the lonely elderly at Thuan An Center for the Lonely Elderly; visited and offered gifts worth VND30mln for 100 policy beneficiary families in Dau Tieng district’s Minh Hoa commune; built and handed over two gratitude and charity houses worth VND66mln to people in Dau Tieng district’s Thanh Tuyen and Tan Lap communes…

 

Such these apart, youths of the bloc donated 4,200 notebooks, 1,120 sets of books and 120 gifts to children in Phu Giao district, orphans and poor-but-excellent pupils across the province with a total expense of VND234mln. They also organized an exchange program with the Border Post 757 stationed at the Vietnam-Cambodia border; welcomed a delegation bringing back to Vietnam the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers who were killed on the battlefield in Cambodia. Especially, they won the first prize in the contest on environmental education launched by provincial Youth Union…
