Provincial Association of former young pioneers to be a warm common shelter

To acknowledge contributions of young pioneers to the revolutionary, the construction of the country and the province, Binh Duong has built historic monuments and works of young pioneers. These relics have become common shelters of young pioneers, red addresses of revolutionary education for the younger generation today.

Showing gratitude through many works

According to provincial Association of former young pioneers, the whole province has about 800 former young pioneers from 40 provinces and cities in the country. Many members, after they dedicated themselves to the country, they returned to the local and continued to make practical contributions to local movements. The common wish of former young pioneers is to create historical sites for meeting, showing gratefulness to deceased comrades, giving historical lessons. Vu Thanh Phuong, Chairwoman of provincial Association of former young pioneers, said that to implement of the Central Association’s policy on seeking, forming historical monuments, Association of former young pioneers proposed and collaborated with relevant authorities to built historical relics linked to the tradition of young pioneers’ force. Former young pioneers, who experienced the war, now are old and weak, but still remember their deceased comrades. Thus the construction of historical monuments is always the desire, of provincial former young pioneers to express the care from provincial Party, People's Committee and all levels, branches of former young pioneers.

 

A root-returning activity of provincial Association of former young pioneers at Doan Thi Lien Culture Park. 

According to the legitimate aspiration of former young pioneers, provincial Party Committee, provincial People's Committee approved the project of building two historical monuments of former young pioneer force. On June 11, 2008, provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 1840/QD-UBND approving the construction of Doan Thi Lien Cultural Park in Chanh Phu Hoa ward, Ben Cat district (hometown of martyr Doan Thi Lien). After the construction time, the project was completed and inaugurated on 7 July 2010. Doan Thi Lien Cultural Park is located in front of school gates, headquarters of the Government, Chanh Phu Hoa ward Center for Culture - Gymnastics – Sports, and is very convenient for visitors... Since its inauguration, this place has become a place for revolutionary historical education, to give lessons about the tradition of young pioneers’ force. It is an address for meeting, exchanging, organization of conferences of youth and other mass organizations. This is also a "red address" for returning to the root of tourists inside and outside the province.

With the thousands of formers young pioneers, who participated in the liberation of the South, the construction of a temple to worship, commemorate sacrifices of comrades on battlefields of Binh Duong during the resistance war against American was an arden, legitimate aspiration. Accordingly, provincial People's Committee approved the building of Young pioneers’ temple in Thanh An commune, Dau Tieng district. This memorial site of young pioneers is built on the area of ​​6.402m2 including main subdivisions: Temple and gravestone of 95 martyrs in the Southern liberation sacrificing in Binh Duong land; B52 hatred gravestone for Thanh An people, who died in the 1969 bombing of America; martyrs’ gravestone of Thanh An commune; gravestone acknowledging 6,000 soldiers of the 16th Regiment - a unit of soldiers who fought and sacrificed on the East battlefields.

This is a historical, cultural and spiritual work built on heroic Thanh An - the place of founding, fighting, serving the combat of young pioneer units, including Hatred Phu Loi C112 unit and Doan Thi Lien Conference of Binh Duong province. The project is a place to recognize the contribution and sacrifice of the South liberation’s young pioneers in general and Binh Duong Province in particular in the resistance war against American; is a cultural - historical education on revolutionary heroism, tradition of young pioneers for the people and the young generation of the province.

The "common shelter"

According to Ms. Phuong, with historical monuments of  young pioneers’ force built in the province in recent time, provincial Association of former young pioneers is very satisfied. This showed the care from the Party, authorities. These historical sites have become "red addresses", which transmits "fire" to the local youth, a meeting place for provincial youth, as well as an interesting destination for visitors.

To former young pioneers, these historic sites are a warm common shelter. Every year, provincial Association of former young pioneers organizes root-returning activities to commemorate, review the history. "In order for these historical sites to be more meaningful and effective, the association would like to continue to receive the support of local authorities, youth organizations in the organization of practical and meaningful activities at these sites so that these places could continue to be meaningful red addresses henceforth , where the older generation could continue educate the younger generation on patriotism, history, traditions of the revolution and young pioneers’ force”, said Vu Thanh Phuong.
