At the reception, Mr.Dung briefly informed Mrs.Huong of the local socio-economic development. In 2017, the province ranked second nationwide in terms of FDI attraction. The province’s export value accounted for 12% of the country’s export value…Noticeably, province-based VSIPs made great contributions to the local development. He also wished Mr.Huong success in his new position while wanting that she will further act as a bridge boosting the fine friendship between the two countries and call for Singaporean businesses to make investment in the province.

Mrs.Huong affirmed the fine cooperation between Vietnam and Singapore, including the VSIP model. She said that this is a very successful model that many other localities want to study and follow. 2018 is the year marking the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Singapore (1973-2018), so the two countries will organize economic cooperation activities and cultural-art exchange programs. As the new Ambassador of Vietnam to Singapore, she will promote cooperation activities between the two countries, especially support the province to organize a conference on investment promotion in Singapore.
