Nearly 7 years of cooperation of environmental protection between the provincial department of Environment and Natural Resources and the provincial Fatherland Front Committee, self-control teams of environmental protection at quarters and hamlets have become exemplary models. Establishment of these teams lifts up to 585 self-control teams, 15 of which are set up from expense of the department, 9 models from Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and the remaining ones from socialization.

Meanwhile, self-control teams of environmental protection at quarters and hamlets play an important role in mobilizing local households to keep environmental hygiene right at their residential areas.

Self-control team at Binh Dang quarter, Binh Hoa ward, Thuan An town is one of typical teams. Right from its establishement, the team set up a management board, build plans and working regulations and regulations of environmental protection.

The team mobilizes households to build roads, equip facilities of garbage collection and dust bins at public areas; implement movement of every household plants a green tree in front of their houses; install lights at alleys to protect environment and keep order and security.

In order to spur knowledge on environmental protection for the self-control teams’ managerial boards and local residents, the department of Environment and Natural Resources has over the past years helped staff of these teams to equip more knowledge and encourage them to complete tasks and more.

Overall, self-control teams excel plan on environmental protection for the period of 2011-2015 in line with the joint resolution signed between the provincial department of Environment and Natural Resources and the provincial Fatherland Front Committee.
