Activities of Ben Cat’s Farmers Association in 2014 under review

On January 13, Ben Cat town’s Farmers Association held a conference to review its activities in 2014 and implement orientations, tasks through 2015.

The town’s Farmers Association last year promoted the emulation movement of “Good farmer in production and business” with more than 5,000 farming households registering for participation or 100% of the set target; set up additional 10 cooperative groups with 118 members, bringing the total number of such groups to 18 with 268 members; teamed up with the town’s branch of the Bank for Social Policies of Vietnam to disburse VND13.7bln in loan for more than 2,000 households; mobilized organizations and individuals to raise nearly VND162mln for the local Support Fund for Farmers or more than 200% of the set target…

On this occasion, provincial People’s Committee also awarded the certificates of merit to 2 collectives and 8 individuals. Five other outstanding collectives and individuals were also awarded the certificates of merit of the town’s Farmers Association.
