In the morning of March 4, at Binh Duong provincial Convention and Exhibition Center, the provincial People's Committee and Becamex IDC held a seminar to orient the Binh Duong province planning strategy for 2021-2030 with a vision to 2050. Attending and chairing the seminar were Mr. Nguyen Van Danh, Deputy Chairman of the provincial People's Committee; Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, Board of Directors Chairman of Becamex IDC; members of the Steering Committee for provincial planning; leaders of departments, agencies, and BCG consulting units.
At the seminar, the representative of BCG consulting unit presented the strategic orientation of Binh Duong province planning for 2021-2030 with a vision to 2050. BCG has identified 6 pillars for Binh Duong to escape the income trap including distributed growth traps, labor productivity trap, need to use more creative chains, and trap of inequality in development.
Attending the seminar, the delegates asked the consulting unit about issues such as specific development plans and strategies, how Binh Duong overcomes the middle income trap, solutions to attract talents, and development of waterway transport.
According to BCG, if Binh Duong wants to overcome the income trap, it must put people at the center in all strategies and attract more people to live in Binh Duong. Representative of BCG asserted that Binh Duong has been one of the major socio-economic development provinces of the nation with expressed belief that by the trends, strategies and visions, Binh Duong will develop strongly in the future to become a national technology center.
Concluding the seminar, Mr. Nguyen Van Danh highly appreciated the strategic planning orientation of BCG. At the same time, he emphasized the meaning and importance of the provincial planning for 2021-2030 with a vision to 2050 to ensure that the role and position of Binh Duong province is always promoted as one of the developing localities of the most dynamic development of the southern region and the whole nation. The Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee proposed the members of the Steering Committee to formulate the provincial planning; leaders of departments and agencies continue to discuss, research, and actively participate in the completion of the master plan and ensure the compatibility, consistency, linkage, and synchronization with the regional planning and, at the same time, must ensure the overall and synchronous nature among sectors and fields, localities in the province; both meet the needs of the present, and create a foundation for development in the coming time.
