Nearly 100 foreign and local businesses in the province joined a seminar on thievery control on Oct. 22. Property thievery at businesses is a hot issue.

The provincial Public Security found out 117 property thieveries at companies, arresting 179 offenders. Senior lieutenant-colonel Nguyen Hoang Thao, vice director of the provincial Public Security, said property thieveries at companies accounts for over 70% of local thievery cases.

This is an alarming figure, making challenges for local public security. The seminar lured the participation of many businesses.
