Southern Power Corporation to carry out 14 works in province in 2017

Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee, on April 13, worked with a delegation of the Electricity of Vietnam's Southern Power Corporation, led by Nguyen Van Hop, CEO of the corporation.

At the working session, representative of Southern Power Corporation briefly informed delegates of the corporation’s production and business situation in the province in 2017 and in the following years. In the first three months of 2017, the corporation saved more than 51 million kWh of power; repaired 62 works with a total value of approximately VND35billion. Its total output of commercial power was estimated at more than 10,950million kWh of power, up more than 1,059 million kWh of power compared to 2016. From now to year-end, the corporation will spend around VND579billion on building power works in the province with a goal of completing 17 works on 110kV power grid and 30 ones on power distribution grid.

In the period of 2016-2020, the corporation will continue spending around VND4.3trillion on realizing 220kV, 110kV grids and power distribution ones, ensuring supply of power for the locality and the region. Leader of the corporation also wanted that the province will further create favorable conditions for the corporation to fulfill its works on schedule.

Mr.Liem pledged that provincial People’s Committee will instruct relevant agencies to facilitate the corporation’s construction of works while requiring the corporation to continue improving the quality of power services and ensuring the supply of power for the locality, contributing to promoting the local socio-economic development.
