Steering group for key traffic projects established

On the afternoon of April 14, Nguyen Van Loi, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial National Assembly Deputy Delegation; Vo Van Minh, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting announcing a decision on the establishment of a steering group for key projects while hearing reports on the implementation progress of the local key projects. The event was also attended by Vice-Chairpersons of provincial People's Committee, leaders of departments, sectors, agencies and localities in the province.

At the meeting, provincial People's Committee Office approved decisions on the establishment of 6 steering groups on the implementation of the local key projects, including the steering group for the BOT project upgrading national highway 13; the steering group for the Ho Chi Minh city - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh expressway project; the steering group for the project to create scenery and prevent traffic jams on the My Phuoc - Tan Van expressway, DT746, DT747b, DT743 streets (led by Nguyen Hoang Thao, Permanent Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee); the steering group for the project of the belt road 4 and the project of Song Than intersection with Pham Van Dong street in Ho Chi Minh city (headed by Vo Van Minh, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People's Committee); the steering group for the project of the belt road 3 in Ho Chi Minh city (led by Mai Hung Dung, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee).

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Loi emphasized: The units must focus on leadership, mobilize resources for implementation so that during this tenure, important roads will be formed up, creating breakthroughs for the local common development. The steering groups must urge the Project Management Boards, investors and relevant units to implement all documents in accordance with the law while regularly making the task of checking and reminding. Besides, they need to focus on directing site clearance that must ensure the harmony between the interests of the State, people and enterprises. Each project must have a team to receive applications and resolve complaints from people even at the site of the project…

Investors must check and promptly advise the province on removing obstacles. For the belt road 3, provincial Party Committee Secretary asked for investors to complete procedures and they must carry out compensate for site clearance until May and June. For national highway 13, they must complete contract procedures with Becamex IDC, focus on site clearance at relevant units and start construction on April 30 ahead while speeding up the implementation and completion within one year. For O&M projects, contract procedures for Becamex IDC must be completed, and their construction must be commenced in June. As for the belt road 4, site clearance must be promoted and construction must begin on September 2nd ahead…
