Lastly, a significant ceremony for Laotian students in Vietnam took place at Thu Dau Mot University on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of Lao People’s Democratic Republic (Dec. 2, 1975-2010).

Attending the ceremony were Laotian consulate general in HCMC, 25 Laotian students studying at Thu Dau Mot University, Binh Duong University and some other universities in HCMC.

Binh Duong province and Lao’s Champasak province has had many friendship cooperations over years. Binh Duong has paid working visits to Champasak to launch a project of planting 30,000 ha of rubber trees and Elaeis guineensis trees at the neighboring province as well as supported Lao to conduct some sport projects, facilitated Laotian students’ study, offered free health treatment and medicines for Laotian people in districts of Pakses, Bachieng and Phonthong.

With the friendship relation, it is hoped that cooperation between Binh Duong and Champasak will develop further.
