Socialization of rural traffic
Nguyen Van Rin, Vice-Chairman of Tan Dinh communal People’s Committee said that 19 rural traffic works were implemented under the socialization form last year. So far, the commune has fulfilled 17 works with total length of 7,627 meters and total expense of VND3.3bln, including VND2.4bln from locals; VND383.7mln, 12,254 square meters of land worth VND1.8bln plus 176 working days from enterprises.
To meet locals’demand for travelling and connect with the province’s common traffic system, Tan Dinh communal People’s Committee suggested provincial Department of Transport to expand a road connecting between two communes Tan Dinh and Tan Thanh in order to eradicate “black spots” of traffic accidents here, which was approved and realized. The communal People’s Committee has also continued surveying and petitioning North Tan Uyen district’s People’s Committee to cover asphalt on 5 roads in hamlets 1, 2, Cay Chanh, Vuon Uom, Bang Lang in the period of 2016 and 2020…
Electrifying the countryside
Lying along Be river, Tan Dinh commune has a lot of advantages for irrigation and ecotourism development. Last year, there was an economic structure with 78% of agriculture, 6% of industry and 16% of services. The whole commune now has a total of 1,296 households in use of national power grid.
In addition to the movement of “Joining hands to building new-style rural areas”, the commune’s Fatherland Front Committee and other mass organizations mobilized locals to take part in upgrading roads under the program of “Lightening up roads in the countryside”. There were 4 lighting systems installed by locals last year.
Mr.Rin said that the efforts by the local administration in infrastructure investment and countryside electrification have facilitated locals’traveling, business and production in recent years. Although the commune’s farming land has been shrunk, the quality of goods here has increased with high competitiveness. There has also been a growth in the number of businesses in trade-services, farmsteads, breeding households with sci-tech application. The whole commune is now home to 3 enterprises investing in ecotourism model, 11 breeding farmsteads with more than 527,000 pigs and chickens together many breeding households that have taken full advantage of after-agriculture waste, bringing hi-economic efficiency. Upon this, the lives of locals have been improved considerably with the average income per capital last year reaching VND34.1mln.
Huynh Tan Vi, Chairman of Tan Dinh communal People’s Committee said that thanks to social welfare programs promoted together with support in many aspects from the local authorities at all levels, sectors, mass organizations, enterprises…, the commune last year had no more poor households under the province’s poverty line. This year, the commune will continue carrying out social welfare programs in a bid to help near-poor households rise up out of poverty and stabilize their production-business activities.
