How is work on taking care of the poor’s Tet holiday implemented, madam?
To bring a warm Tet holiday for the poor, the provincial Fatherland Front Committee mapped out plans on holding gift visits to the poor and privileged. This year’s Tet holiday, the provincial budget will support 3,187 poor families, each household VND1mil. In addition, the provincial Fatherland Front Committee will pay gift visits to 13 centers for orphans, old and disabled people with 1,100 gifts worth VND220mil and 279 square cakes worth over VND23mil.
the provincial Fatherland Front Committee at all levels will actively cooperate with donors and localities to pay direct health visits to the poor with the goal of taking care of the poor’s Tet holiday.
Could you tell about results of Tet gift mobilization?
With the motto of “taking care of Tet holiday for all poor households”, the provincial Fatherland Front Committee’s the mobilization board of Day for the poor will disburse expense from the Fund for the poor and enterprises and donors’ contributions to assist poor families.
At present, the provincial Fatherland Front Committee and its branches received more than 2,500 gifts for the poor and 1,107 gifts for privileged families, each worth VND200,000-500,000.
From now till Tet holiday 2015, the provincial Fatherland Front Committee will continue to receive donation from units, enterprises and individuals to supplement significant gifts for the poor. As planned, the provincial Fatherland Front Committee, mass bodies and organizations will pay gift visits to the poor and privileged on Feb. 8-18.
Moreover, Ho Chi Minh city Fatherland Front Committee supports to carry out 8 works of rural traffic roads at Phu An and An Tay communes of Ben Cat town, Long commune of Bau Bang district, Minh Tan and An Lap communes of Dau Tieng district. Expense of investment will be granted prior to Tet holiday 2015.
How to grant Tet gifts to people in need?
The mobilization board of Day for the poor suggested the provincial Fatherland Front Committee to receive or introduce addresses of the poor to mass bodies, organizations and enterprises and individuals.
Moreover, the provincial Fatherland Front Committee instructed its branches to collect database of the poor and cooperated with mass bodies and localities to ensure gifts for people in need.
Over the past days, the provincial Buddhism Society donated 500 gifts to the poor while Kien Long Bank’s Binh Duong branch 250 gifts, Hien Dat Co.Ltd. in Thu Dau Mot city 123, Thanh Le building material company 400 and more. Especially, to take care of privileged families’ Tet holiday, Ho Chi Minh city Fatherland Front Committee in cooperation with the provincial Fatherland Front Committee donated 1,107 gifts to privileged families and 263 gifts to poor households in Dau Tieng, Ben Cat and Bau Bang districts.
