On the occasion of the traditional Tet (Lunar New Year) festival 2014, the Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and Fatherland Front Committee of Tan Hiep commune in Phu Giao district, on February 7, held a get-together for the local elderly people.

At the get-together, the local elderly people were heard a Tet greeting letter of Chairman of the Vietnam Elderly People Association. Leaders of the commune also informed them about results in some aspects and the result of implementation of the National Target Program on New Rural Construction last year.

It is known that Tan Hiep commune over time excelled at taking care of the lives of the local elderly people, helping them live happily, healthily and usefully. Along with authorities at all levels, they also made contributions to the local development.

On this occasion, the Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and Fatherland Front Committee of Tan Hiep commune also congratulated the local elderly people on their longevity and offered gifts to them, including 6 aged 70; 10 aged 75; 8 aged 80; 2 aged 85; 1 aged 90 and 1 aged 102.
