Regarding wastewater collection and treatment infrastructure and urban drainage system, the city has made investments and is calling for businesses to invest in wastewater treatment system. Notably, the city is preparing to invest in a 10-hectare wastewater treatment plant in Uyen Hung ward. To build a green, clean, beautiful,worth-living city, fulfilling the criteria of a class-two urban area in terms of trees, parks, wastewater treatment - drainage, and cemeteries, Tan Uyen City has renovated and expanded the city's central cultural park; renovated and embellished the Victory Monument flower garden in Tan Phuoc Khanh ward; built new flower gardens in wards; dredged streams and canals in the area to better serve the drainage. The city has completed the construction of a funeral house; has a plan to relocate urban cemeteries to create clean land for the construction of public works.

Doan Hong Tuoi, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Committee, said that up to now, most of the criteria for a class-two urban area have been achieved; many key infrastructure projects in the area have received investment; many urban areas and residential areas have been upgraded, creating a spacious, clean and beautiful appearance of Tan Uyen city.

Continue to mobilize investment capital

Doan Hong Tuoi, Chairman of Tan Uyen City People's Committee, said that in the process of implementing the criteria for a class-two urban area, the biggest difficulty for the city leaders is completing the criteria for traffic infrastructure investment. Although the province has allocated budget funds for infrastructure investment, the local infrastructure needs large funding sources. “The city continues to invite and create favorable conditions to attract investors in upgrading and expanding roads in the area; strives to be recognized as a class-two urban area by 2025,” he added.

In the coming time, based on the medium-term public investment plan, the city will select key and priority projects to allocate investment capital for its execution. Namely, the city will speed up the implementation of the project to upgrade and expand roads DH402, DH403, DH423, DH409; complete the planning of the development area of Uyen Hung ward and Thai Hoa ward to create a driving force to attract investment in urban development in the right direction.
