TDM city’s Youth Federation opens its 6th congress for 2014-2017 tenure

Particularly, the city’s Youth Federation organized 4 action programs for national border areas at Border Post 799 in Binh Phuoc province with a total expense of more than VND250mlm. The city’s Young Physicians’Club also provided free medical check-up and medicine for more than 3,300 poor patients, more than 600 young workers. Meanwhile, the city’s Young Entrepreneurs’ Association branch visited and presented gifts worth more than VND110mln to needy children across the city and those at province-based centers for orphans, vocational training centers for the disabled.

Under the campaign of “Youth establish their position in life, set themselves up in business”, the city’s Youth Federation helped young people get more than VND4bln in annual loan from the local branch of the Bank for Social Policies for studying and production. The local Youth Federation also opened 102 classes on informatics for more than 2,000 members; held a class on continuation education for 43 young workers being ethnic minority people…

For orientations and tasks for the 2014-2017 tenure, the city’s Youth Federation will further implement its campaigns and action programs, including mobilizing organizations and individuals to build at least 3 recreational places for workers’ children at lodging facilities, build at least 10 houses of compassion for youth with difficult circumstances; opening at least 5 classes on continuation education and informatics for young workers, especially ethnic minority youth…

On this occasion, provincial Youth Federation honored 4 collectives and 4 individuals. Forty other collectives and individuals were also honored by the People’s Committee of TDM city for their excellent performance in Youth Union task and youth movements over the past time.
