TDM, Dau Tieng, Phu Giao accelerate planning, socio-economic development for 2021-2030, with vision to 2050

Early March 8, Vo Van Minh, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting with Thu Dau Mot (TDM) city’s People's Committee on the local socio-economic development plan for the 2021-2030 period with a vision to 2050; the local urban development planning and construction planning.

Over the past time, TDM city was developed in accordance with the overall plan. The city’s economy maintained a high growth rate with the annual level of 27.92%. The city’s economic structure in the period 2011-2020 was fostered with 60.49% in services, 39.43% in industrial manufacture and 0.08% in agricultural production.  Some high-quality services fostered vigorously in size with diverse products, becoming a sector with great added value, accounting for a high proportion of the city's economic structure. For socio-economic development continuing being developed under the provincial and sectoral plans, the city will concentrate on commercial fields towards the participation of economic sectors under the orientations of the provincial and sectoral planning, focusing on the implementation of sci-tech projects, contributing to carrying out the smart city project of the province...At the meeting, delegates discussed some contents on the city’s socio-economic development in the coming period.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Minh emphasized the nature and importance of TDM city’s planning and socio-economic development. He suggested TDM city to further implement specific planning tasks to join hands with districts, towns and cities to implement in accordance with the province’s overall planning. Relevant departments and sectors need to further support the city to implement planning as quickly as possible, especially in the field of commerce – services in order to cooperate with localities to create a basis for socio-economic development in line with the general orientations of the province and the region in the coming time...

*On the afternoon of the same day, Nguyen Van Danh, Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee had a meeting with Dau Tieng district’s Party Standing Committee on the implementation of the local socio-economic development plan in 2022. In 2021, the district’s total value production reached nearly VND20 billion, up 13.24% over the same period. The district’s value of industrial production - construction gained more than VND9 billion. The district’s trade - service value was more than VND6 billion. The district’s State budget revenue was more than VND1.62 trillion. There were 4 communes considered for recognition as the advanced newly-style ones...

To fulfill the set goals and tasks for socio-economic development in 2022 and the whole period of 2021-2025, the district’s leaders proposed a number of contents, including early approving projects related to upgrading Thanh Tuyen urban area; carrying out preparation work for investment in two arterial routes, the East-West and South-North axis... At the meeting, leaders of a number of departments and sectors made speeches to clarify a number of related issues so that Dau Tieng district can well realize tasks for socio-economic development in the coming time.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr.Danh acknowledged efforts by the district in carrying out socio-economic development. Regarding proposals by the district, he suggested the district to effectively coordinate with the province’s departments and sectors to implement under the spirit of innovation, determination and breakthrough, bending on completing and improving the quality of planning and planning management, with focus on planning industrial compounds...

*On the afternoon of March 8, Phu Giao district’s Steering Committee for Planning held a workshop to deploy the local integrated planning orientation framework for the period of 2021-2030 with a vision to 2050.

Under the local socio-economic development plan for the period of 2021-2030 with a vision to 2050, the district will focus on developing clean and sustainable agriculture; link new-style rural development with ecotourism development; make agricultural restructuring towards the development of high-tech agricultural farms in association with processing; promote the models of agricultural production and rural industries in association with services; organize concentrated production and replicate production and business models with high economic efficiency; implement the national target program on building new-style rural areas for the period of 2021-2025 in association with rural economic development. Regarding planning, the district plans to add 5 industrial compounds, bringing the total number of local industrial compounds to 8; complete the formulation of the overall planning for Phuoc Vinh town up to 2040 and upgrade Phuoc Vinh to a fourth-class city in the period of 2026-2030; approve the local overal construction plan to 2030 with a vision to 2050; develop eco-tourism areas along Suoi stream, agricultural areas combined with resorts…
